When Casa first began in 1979, our vision centered on getting children coming out of Maine institutions back to the neighborhoods where they initially resided. Today, we proudly operate several group homes in Greater Portland where residents have the distinct benefits of safe and healthy settings, access to social and leisure activities, and general community integration.

Situated on a quiet residential parcel in Scarborough, this specialized, 16-bed nursing facility provides 24-hour support to our most medically involved residents. Built in 2014, this state-of-the-art home has a therapy pool, multiple living rooms and many specialized features for providing the utmost in care and quality. Home-cooked meals, extensive activity programming and staff of dedicated RNs and CNAs make this the premier facility of its kind in southern Maine.

We believe that high-quality care and independence should coexist and that’s why Casa brings its medical and behavioral expertise into private homes.

Casa offers several forms of support to help assess and improve the mental health of both children and adults.

Our Master’s-Level Clinicians deliver outpatient counseling, home- and community-based treatment, and serve as a trusted resource to the State under 211.

Casa supports children through certified Behavioral Health Professionals - one-on-one, in public schools, and under supervision of Master’s-Level Clinicians. Our work, primarily in Portland area schools, has been remarkably successful. We encourage parents and educators to have a conversation with us and learn how we help children access their education to the fullest extent.
